Early Life and Influences
Roxie’s journey began at age 14 as a professional drummer. She was mentored by industry legends who shaped her deep respect for music creators and their legacies:
- Matthew “Chuck” Weber (1946–2010), a Navy DJ turned producer and manager who partnered with Otis Blackwell on over 100 Top 10 hits and owned iconic venues such as the Desert Lounge. He introduced Roxie to elite music industry circles including BMI, ASCAP, and Sony.
- Otis Blackwell (1932–2002), the prolific songwriter behind classics like “Don’t Be Cruel,” “All Shook Up,” “Return to Sender,” “Fever,” and “Great Balls of Fire,” with more than 200 million records sold.
- Maggie Cavender (1918–1996), co-founder and executive director of the Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), a pioneering advocate for songwriter royalties and rights.
- Lunar Records and Cultural Preservation
A visionary project close to Roxie’s heart is Lunar Records, co-founded with Space Blue. The initiative archives iconic recordings — featuring legends such as Ray Charles, Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, and many others — onto the lunar surface, creating an indestructible, eternal cultural repository for humanity’s musical heritage. This groundbreaking effort combines music preservation with blockchain-enabled royalty distribution, ensuring creators and rights holders benefit across generations and beyond Earth.
Roxanna Green continues to drive innovation at the intersection of music, technology, and media. Through grit, rhythm, and forward-thinking leadership, she is shattering barriers, protecting artistic legacies, and building sustainable futures for the entertainment industry — both on Earth and among the stars.
