Carol Green’s experience with Redwood Entertainment goes back to the early days of the company when she served as Production Manager, Personnel Director and Production Accountant for all of Redwood’s live and video-taped performances, and special video projects. Her organized and skilled management of personnel and finances on “Love Times Three” starring Chuck Jackson, O.C. Smith and Cuba Gooding Sr. led her to the position of CFO and Human Resources Director for Redwood Entertainment, Inc.
Her experience in the music industry began when she was an electrician/ lighting specialist at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City in the 1970s. She then moved on to lighting and production coordination for the Dr. Pepper Music Festival in New York City’s Central Park and other major rock venues and concerts with Ron Delsener Productions. While working with Delsener Productions, Carol developed her managing expertise for musical artists by recognizing that success for artists only happens with market and audience build, publicizing concerts and the artists’ recordings in order to fill venue seats.
At Redwood, Carol’s management expertise has spanned all aspects of formulating successful campaigns for the Redwood artists, while still maintaining her position as CEO and Founder of the firm. She has worked with all Redwood Artists, past and present, and she is also instrumental in the design of project management systems and operational procedures.
Her extensive human resources management includes, but is not limited to, hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating and motivating. She establishes and executes policies, procedures and systems for the company. Additionally, Carol handles all technical IT issues and has full knowledge of operational procedures for the internet campaigns, media placements and radio promotion.
Throughout the years since its inception in 1983, Redwood Entertainment’s music and touring departments have been known for their comprehensive management, artist representation, and record label marketing services.
Redwood artists have garnered numerous Grammy nominations, winning six Grammies in categories such as Best Instrumental Composition Jazz and Best Jazz Instrumental Album. In 2003 Sertab Erener won the Eurovision contest, the first Turkish artist to receive the prize. Several of our U.S. based artists have received Tony and Emmy awards.
The company’s international clients include Fahir Atakoglu, a renowned symphonic composer and conductor, he has released three Jazz/World Music CDs in the United States that have made it to #1 on the JazzWeek Charts. He has composed sound tracks for over twenty films and television series. Armagan Durdag, a world class symphonic composer and pianist, has performed with symphony orchestras in Europe and Turkey.
Greek jazz saxophonist Dimitris Vassilakis’ Jazz Democracy project was presented at the United Nations in April, 2018. In 2019 he created the Rhodes International Jazz Festival and partnered with the Bodrum Jazz Festival in Turkey to create the cultural exchange, “Jazz Across the Water”. Greek composer and accordionist Zoe Tiganouria is regarded as a national treasure, her music is included in the soundtrack of the American film Tango Shalom set for release in spring, 2020.
Italian jazz singer, Letitia Gambi’s two albums were produced by the Grammy winning, Lenny White. Letizia performs extensively in the United States and Europe, many times under the auspices of the Italian Ministry of Culture. Canadian jazz singer Julie Michels has performed and recorded in Europe, Africa and North America. Her next recording will be an interpretation of the songs of Lyle Lovett produced by Grammy nominated Mark Ruffin.
American jazz artists include singer and composer Abigail Rockwell whose album “Autumn Noir” has received rave reviews, she has been described as a smoldering torch singer. Aimee Allen composes original material and has her own take on classic jazz repertoire, she sings in English, French and Portuguese. Chicago based vocalist Tammy McCann has toured throughout Europe and Asia with performances featuring the music from the American Songbook and a salute to Mahalia Jackson.
Educator Bill Warfield fronts the Hell’s Kitchen Funk Orchestra and Bill Warfield’s Big Band Orchestra. Ric Frank is the leader of the Jambalaya Brass Band and the Sonido Arrasando Latin combo. Mark Fox is an innovative composer, award winning saxophonist and Malian harp player, documentary film maker and bandleader releasing his second album “Iridescent Sound”. Veteran saxophonist Richard Howell now fronts his own group and composes music which has been incorporated into a series of ballets.
Legendary Blues keyboard player Barry Goldberg is also a prolific composer who has written hit songs for Rod Stewart and Gladys Knight. Larry Newcomb is an educator and accomplished guitarist who performs with both jazz and blues bands. David Bennett Cohen is the original keyboard player with Country Joe and the Fish and continues to play great blues and rock ‘n roll.
Jeremiah Abiah is multi-talented vocalist, composer and showman who began his career in opera and went on to coach some of the most important performers on Broadway, in film and concerts. His third album is his interpretations of the songs of Madonna.
In addition Redwood Entertainment has organized the book tour for Jonathan Kane’s “Art Kane: Harlem 1958” which has been presented at the National Jazz Museum of Harlem, the Institute of Jazz Studies at Rutgers/Newark, the Grammy Museum , Jazz at Lincoln Center and the Library of Congress.
Redwood Entertainment is also organizing a book tour for Abigail Rockwell for the new edition of the biography of her grand-father, Norman Rockwell, “My Adventures as an Illustrator”. She has presented the book at the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Museum of Illustration.
Redwood Entertainment is a co-producer for the upcoming radio project Johnny Goldstein’sAn Elegy for the Lost City, for the “World’s first Audio Book in Radio Form”, a next generation, musically-enhanced serialized drama based on his novel which was published in 2016.
Redwood Entertainment Inc. is widely known for its versatile management approaches in the Music and Entertainment Industries. Redwood’s late founder, Janet Castiel, and her sister, Carol Green, were raised in the music business and bring a lifetime of business relationships and experiences for their clients. Their father was the legendary agent, Jackie Green.
Although the company was incorporated in the USA in 1983, Janet Castiel had already begun to germinate the seeds that would become Redwood almost 20 earlier in Spain where she worked for Espectaculos Internacionales Francisco Bermudez buying talent from around the world for performances in Europe.
In 2004 Carol Green joined the company and the sisters subsequently combined Redwood Entertainment, Inc. with their late father’s corporation, the Jack L. Green Company.
Jackie Green was renowned in the entertainment industry and worked with artists such as, Shirley MacLaine, Telly Savales, Tom Jones, Liza Minelli George Shearing, Billy Shaw, Raquel Welch, Englebert Humperdinck, Buddy Rich and many other legendary performers. He began his career with the Willard Alexander Agency handling the Count Basie Orchestra, the Duke Ellington Orchestra and other major big bands.
Jackie Green was also instrumental in launching the British “rock invasion” in the 1960s by opening up the U.S. market for such artists as The Dave Clark Five, The Animals, Gerry & the Pacemakers, Freddy & The Dreamers, The Hullabaloos and the Kinks. He also opened up new vistas in concert touring by setting the first million-dollar guarantee which was for Barbara Streisand.
Both sisters grew up to the tune of groundbreaking music industry deals which were made on a regular basis by a music industry master-craftsman. The Redwood Partners are developing and contemporizing the legacy of their legendary father, managing performing artists and working with music publishing companies for the licensing of songs.

Redwood Entertainment also produced a combination live performance and film production of the Canadian Jazz Artist, Anna Romain and The Norman Amadio Orchestra in “An Evening With Duke Ellington and The Sophisticated Lady.” The concerts on the Island of Grenada served as a benefit for St. Michael’s Hospital in St. Georges, Grenada. Additionally, Janet Castiel directed the video and shot and directed the principal still photography.
